Overview

The GZDW8 Microcomputer DC Power Screen is mainly used in power system locations such as power plants, substations, and switching stations, as well as in some industrial fields with high requirements for power supply reliability, such as petrochemicals, metallurgy, and mining⁴. It provides a stable DC power supply for control, signaling, protection, and other equipment in the power system, ensuring that critical equipment in the power system can still operate normally during mains power outages or other abnormal situations, thereby guaranteeing the safe and reliable operation of the power system.


Structural Composition

Charging Module: It adopts high-frequency switching conversion technology. The input three-phase AC power is converted into high-frequency DC power after rectification and filtering. Then, it is isolated and transformed through a high-frequency transformer. Finally, after rectification and filtering, a stable DC output is obtained to charge the battery.

Monitoring Module: With an advanced microcontroller or PLC as the core, it is responsible for real-time monitoring of the operating status of the DC screen, including voltage, current, battery status, etc., and performs corresponding control and management. Through a large-screen LCD with Chinese character display, it can provide audible and visual alarms and also allow parameter settings for various parts of the system.

Battery Bank: It provides backup power in the event of a mains power failure. Its capacity is configured according to the actual application scenario and load requirements. Common rated capacities include 20Ah, 40Ah, 65Ah, 100Ah, 200Ah, and 400Ah.

DC Feeder Unit: It distributes DC power to various load circuits. It provides operating power for the opening and closing of equipment such as circuit breakers and disconnect switches, and also supplies power to the relay protection, control, signaling, and other circuits of the power system.


Working Principle

Under normal conditions, the AC input power is converted into DC power by the charging module, which simultaneously charges the battery bank and supplies power to the load. When the mains power fails or is abnormal, the battery bank discharges to provide emergency DC power to the load.

The monitoring module continuously monitors the system's operating parameters, such as AC input voltage, DC output voltage and current, battery voltage, and battery charge/discharge current. Based on the configured parameters and operating status, it performs automatic control and adjustments, such as implementing automatic switching between equalizing and floating charges, current limiting, and temperature compensation for the battery bank. Additionally, the monitoring module is equipped with functions like insulation monitoring and ground fault line selection, allowing it to monitor the system's insulation status in real-time to ensure system and personnel safety.

The charging module supports hot-swapping, significantly reducing the average maintenance time.
