Product Overview

The XGN2-12 box-type fixed metal-enclosed switchgear is designed for use in three-phase AC 50 Hz power systems with a rated voltage of 3.6–12 kV, serving to receive and distribute electrical energy. It is especially suitable for applications involving frequent operation. The equipment features a single-busbar system, which can be extended to configurations with a busbar bypass or a double-busbar system.


Technical Features‌

1. Excellent Insulation Performance: No insulating barriers of any kind are used within thecabinet for phase-to-phase or phase-to-ground insulation. The air insulation distancebetween phases and between phase and ground exceeds 125 mm. The cabinet employssupport insulators or bushings with increased creepage distances, endowing theswitchgear with high insulation strength and stability.

2. Suitable for Harsh Environments: The product meets the design requirements for severeservice conditions and can be used in locations subject to condensation accompanied by pollution.

3. High-Quality Main Circuit Breaker: The main circuit breaker is a premium productincorporating advanced technologies such as modular assembly, miniaturization, andcomposite insulation. It features a compact size, tight structure, and excellentperformance.

4. Safe Disconnector Switch: A rotary disconnector switch is used. At the open position, therotating conductor is grounded, creating a "metallic separation" between the live partsand the isolated conductor, ensuring the safety of maintenance personnel.

5. Reliable Interlocking Mechanism: The interlocks among the main switch, disconnectorswitch, earthing switch, and cabinet door all adopt mandatory mechanical interlocking. Theoperating mechanism of the main switch and disconnector is designed in conjunction withthe mechanical interlock, resulting in a simple structure, reliable operation, and compliancewith the "five safety protections" (Five Prevention) requirements.

6. High Versatility: The product has strong interchangeability and series compatibility. It canbe equipped with different main switches and is suitable for single busbar systems, singlebusbar with bypass systems, and double busbar systems, meeting the diverse needs ofvarious users.

Structural Features‌

Overall Structure:‌ This switchgear is a metal-enclosed, box-type structure. The interior is divided into separate compartments: the circuit breaker chamber, busbar chamber, cable chamber, and relay chamber. These compartments are isolated from one another using steel partitions.

Pressure Relief Devices:‌ The XGN2A-12 series products are equipped with independent pressure relief channels in each compartment. In the event of an internal fault, the pressure relief doors automatically open to release overpressure. For the XGN2-12 series, all compartments except the cable chamber are similarly fitted with pressure relief devices; the cable chamber does not have a pressure relief channel.

Maintenance Access:‌ The switchgear is designed for maintenance from both front and rear sides. The front side allows access for inspection of secondary components in the electrical compartment, maintenance of the operating mechanism, mechanical interlocks, transmission parts, and circuit breaker servicing. The rear side provides access for maintenance of the main busbars and cable terminations. Lighting lamps are installed in both the circuit breaker and cable chambers.

Earthing Design:‌ A grounding copper busbar, running parallel to the width of the cabinet, is installed at the lower part of the rear door to ensure safe grounding of the equipment.


Normal Service Conditions‌

· Ambient temperature: upper limit +40 °C, lower limit -10 °C.

· Altitude: up to 1000 m (for altitudes exceeding 1000 m, consult the manufacturer's technical department for special production arrangements).

· Relative humidity: daily average not exceeding 95%, monthly average not exceeding 90%.

· Seismic intensity: no more than 8 degrees on the seismic scale.
